Were 200 patients with Swine flu admitted to Lanka Hospitals?

A message circulating on WhatsApp claiming that 200 Maldivian patients with Swine flu have been admitted to Lanka Hospitals caught the attention of FactSeeker as the message claimed that 2 – 3 patients have died.

Observing the said claim, FactSeeker stepped in to investigate on social media.

The management of the hospital had issued the following statement verifying that the allegation is false. “There is NO TRUTH to these claims. A full media brief will follow soon” the statement read.

Accordingly, FactSeeker verifies that claims circulating that Maldivian patients with Swine flu have been admitted to Lanka Hospitals.
