February 13, 2026

Indonesia is currently facing multiple challenges due to heavy rainfall and volcanic activity. Amidst this situation, a video claiming to show a massive flood cascading from a mountaintop in Indonesia has been widely shared on the X platform.

The video has garnered significant views and shares. Notably, ‘Grok’, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool integrated into the X platform for data verification, also provided a response suggesting the video was authentic.

However, FactSeeker investigated the footage and confirmed that it is an AI-generated video.

Furthermore, upon verifying the data provided by ‘Grok,’ it was found that there is no evidence of such a specific disaster in any official government announcements or credible news reports from Indonesia. Therefore, it is confirmed that the information provided by the ‘Grok’ AI tool to X users was inaccurate.

Conclusion
FactSeeker confirms that the video circulating on social media, which purports to show a massive flood descending from a mountain in Indonesia, was created using AI technology and is not real.
