Indian superstar Shah Rukh Khan is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka on August 2 to officially launch the City of Dreams Sri Lanka project in Colombo. The announcement regarding this high-profile event was made by City of Dreams Sri Lanka and is shared below.

In the lead-up to his visit, an image has been circulating on social media claiming that Shah Rukh Khan has already arrived in Colombo for a “pre-training” event. However, FactSeeker’s investigation reveals that the widely shared image is not genuine, but AI-generated.

FactSeeker identified an animated video based on the same image, further indicating synthetic media content. Additionally, during a review of another unrelated news story about Shah Rukh Khan, the same image was found being reused—another red flag for manipulated or inauthentic content.

Upon closer inspection of the viral image, several signs of AI generation were noted. Notably, a street sign near the billboard in the background read “** OF DREAMS ***MBOBO,” which appears to be a misspelled and distorted version of the real project name. The correct signage should read CITY OF DREAMS SRI LANKA—as confirmed in official visuals from the organizers.

Furthermore, certain details in the image such as lighting inconsistencies, unnatural facial textures, and anomalies in background elements were consistent with AI-generated visuals.

Based on these findings, FactSeeker confirms that the photo being circulated of Shah Rukh Khan arriving in Colombo ahead of schedule is not real, but artificially generated using AI tools.

As anticipation grows for Shah Rukh Khan’s official visit, we urge the public to remain cautious about misleading visuals and verify the authenticity of viral content through trusted fact-checking sources.
