FactSeeker has observed a photo circulating on social media that falsely appears to show Sirasa TV news anchor Omaya Kovilagodage holding hands with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

After verification, FactSeeker confirms that the image is a digitally altered fake intended to mislead the public. The original, authentic photo,which has been manipulated — was posted by journalist Omaya Kovilagodage on her Facebook page in 2023.
