The photograph indicates that NPP’s Presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has promised to establish this cabinet after winning the upcoming presidential election.

Individuals who currently do not represent Parliament were also included in the photograph.

Upon investigation, it was found that the official social media accounts of the NPP did not indicate the publication of such posts.

When inquired with members representing the NPP, Vasantha Samarasinghe and Bimal Ratnayake stated that no such decision had been made so far.

“As the presidential election is currently underway, the National People’s Power’s presidential candidate is only focused on assuming the presidency,” they said.

FactSeeker also observed national media which had not reported the said claim.

Accordingly, FactSeeker confirms that the circulating photograph alleged to represent the proposed cabinet of the National People’s Power is false.
