An ‘X’ message allegedly issued by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is circulating on social media stating that if presidential candidate of Samagi Jana Balavega Sajith Premadasa wins the upcoming presidential election, Sri Lankans will live happily.

The message states that just as the victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) brought good times to the people of India, the victory of Samagi Jana Balavega will also bring good times to the people of Sri Lanka.

FactSeeker observed whether India’s PM Modi had posted such a message on his X account and it was confirmed that he had not posted such a message.

Accordingly, FactSeeker confirms that the alleged ‘X’ message of Narendra Modi is false.
