At first glance, the letter seemed to be an official one issued by the government, and many had expressed their views on the said letter, so FactSeeker stepped in to investigate.
When fact checking via FotoForensics and Forensically, it was evident that the national logo was edited into the letter.
Furthermore, when official notices are published by the government, the name of the organisation or ministry publishing the notice, the date of publication, and contact details for further inquiries must be included in the published document. The said letter does not carry most of the required information.
Government news sources too investigated the matter by examining cabinet decisions and extra ordinary gazettes, and disclosed that the letter was fraudulent.
Further confirmations were provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Presidential Secretariat that the letter was not an official letter.
FactSeeker confirms that the letter circulating on social media carrying the national logo claiming to employ individuals from all districts to be fake.
