FactSeeker has observed that some photos are being shared on social media, jokingly claiming that the individual involved in the shooting incident at the Hulftsdorp Court Complex is the current Member of Parliament, Ramanathan Archuna.

These photos suggest that the face of the suspect in the released CCTV footage matches that of MP Ramanathan Archuna. Although initially shared in a humorous context, many have questioned the claim. As the content is now being circulated seriously beyond its original intent, there is a risk that many may believe it to be true. Therefore, FactSeeker seeks to clarify the situation.

MP Ramanathan Archuna was participating in parliamentary debates when the shooting occurred this morning. No confirmed information has been released yet regarding the identity of the person involved in the incident. The police have stated that an investigation is underway.

However, social media posts shared as jokes have often led to widespread misconceptions. Therefore, FactSeeker urges people to refrain from spreading misinformation, even when intended for humor, to prevent unnecessary confusion and misunderstanding in society.
