The Indian media had reported that the Tamil political party representatives in Sri Lanka have requested not to screen the Tamil movie “Leo” starring South Indian actor Thalapathy Vijay in the country.
Accordingly, Factseeker observed that the alleged letter is being shared on social media platforms in India as well. Further, It has been mentioned in the media reports that the Tamil political party representatives of Sri Lanka have sent a letter to the actor Vijay mentioning not to screen the movie “Leo” in Sri Lanka.
Factseeker has observed that a letter which was signed by Tamil politicians namely Mavei Senadhiraja, CV Wigneswaran, Selvam Adekkalanathan, Dharmalingam Siddharthan, Suresh Premachandran, and Srikanth is also being shared on social media.

sent by Tamil political representatives to actor Vijay, was fake. Factseeker inquired Tamil political representatives Mawai Senadhiraja, CV Vikineswaran, Selvam Adekkalanathan, Dharmalingam Siddharthan, Suresh Premachandran, and Srikanth regarding the letter, and they claimed that they had not sent a letter of such nature.
They claimed that their signatures from other letters and documents had been to create a fake letter. Factseeker, thus, confirms that the news reports that the Tamil political representatives of Sri Lanka demanding by a letter not to screen the movie “Leo” in Sri Lanka, is false.
