Following the missile attack by Iran on Israel, FactSeeker observed numerous videos and news reports being shared on social media.

Factseeker also identified that many of these shared videos and accompanying news reports are misleading.

A video titled ‘The moment of Netanyahu’s escape’ is being circulated. However, this video was actually recorded on December 14, 2021, when Netanyahu rushed to vote in the Knesset. At that time, he was the opposition leader.

Similarly, a video purportedly showing a missile attack on Israel’s capital, Tel Aviv, is being widely shared. However, this video is from an incident where an unmanned drone exploded in Moscow, a mishap documented by international media in 2023.

Many such misleading videos are currently being widely shared on platforms like X and Facebook. Factseeker has confirmed that these videos are all old and are being shared in a way that misleads the public.
