A video of thousands of coconuts being broken and worshiped in a Hindu religious festival was circulated on social media.

FactSeeker observed that the said video is shared that this event was carried out by Sri Lankan Tamils and it was held India.

When FactSeeker investigated the accuracy of this event, it was found to be a Ganesh festival held in Paris, France on 27 August. It is held as a way to attract and unite various tourists. It is also noteworthy that Hindus in all countries celebrate the said festival. The media reported that devotees from various countries were participating in this event.
