Fake Claim: ‘Wrestler John Cena Joins Tamil Nadu Victory Federation’

False
False

A photo circulating on social media falsely claims that South Indian actor and Tamil Nadu Victory Federation (TVK) leader Vijay met American wrestler John Cena. The post accompanying the image states, “Wrestler John Cena joins Tamil Nadu Victory Federation.” However, this claim is entirely false.

FactSeeker investigated the viral image and found no official announcements or social media posts from Vijay or TVK supporting this claim. Additionally, no credible news sources have reported anything about John Cena joining the Tamil Nadu Victory Federation. This raised doubts about the authenticity of the image.

A reverse image search revealed that the original photo was taken on September 23 last year and actually features Tamil actor Karthi with John Cena during WWE’s Superstar Spectacle event in Hyderabad.

Karthi himself had shared this image on social media. The viral version has been digitally altered to replace Karthi with Vijay, creating a misleading narrative.

FactSeeker confirms that the claim “Wrestler John Cena joins Tamil Nadu Victory Federation” is completely false, and the image being circulated is manipulated. This highlights the importance of verifying information before sharing it, as misinformation can spread quickly on social media.
