AI-Generated Video of Black Panther in Yala National Park Debunked

False
False

A video circulating on social media, purportedly showing a black panther walking in front of a convoy of jeeps carrying foreign tourists in Yala National Park, has been confirmed to be AI-generated.

Factseeker investigated the video and found that it was created using an image from a Daily Mirror article published on December 13, 2024, which discussed overcrowding in Yala National Park.

The original image featured a civet, not a black panther. Therefore, the video is not authentic footage from Sri Lanka but a digitally manipulated creation.
