A post is shared on social media with the above details. It is said to be manufactured by a company called “Prima” and the packaging bears the logo “Buy Our Things” of the Mawbima Lanka Foundation.

Investigation into the company Prima mentioned here revealed that it was a company located in Switzerland. The photo of this product on the company’s website is the same as the photo in this post and the original image does not include the logo “Buy Our Things”.

A technical inspection of the photo revealed that the photo in the packaging was an image from the Prima website that had been edited inserting the logo “Buy Our Things”.

The post also states that the Rapid Antigen Test Kit will be delivered home, but according to Prima company’s website, the product is only recommended for the health staff. The Prima website mentions that the company’s professional products are recommended for healthcare staff, and self-test products are marketed under the Prima Home Test category. The Rapid Antigen Test Kit mentioned in the post has been released under the category Prima Professional.

When the Mawbima Lanka Foundation was inquired to confirm whether this rapid antigen test kit was manufactured locally, the managing director of the foundation, Mr. Shantha said that his foundation had no connection with such a product and that it was a fake post.

This confirms that the rapid antigen test kit is not manufactured in Sri Lanka and that the post is fake.
