Various AI-generated videos related to this incident are circulating on social media. In this context, FactSeeker observed that a video titled “Myanmar Earthquake” is being shared widely across social media platforms.

The video depicts aerial views of damaged roads and buildings following a disaster. When we analyzed the video using Google Reverse Image Search, we found that it had been widely shared on international social media platforms. However, further observation confirmed that the video had not been published on any official news websites.

Additionally, upon examining the video more closely, it was observed that certain parts of the landscape were indistinct. For instance, the vehicles in the video appeared blurry, and the faces and body features of people in the footage were distorted. This raised suspicions that the video may have been created using AI.

To determine whether the video was AI-generated, we used the Deepware analysis tool. The results revealed that it was indeed an AI-generated video.

Furthermore, during additional observations, FactSeeker came across a report published by the BBC news service. That report also confirmed that the video had been created using AI technology.

Therefore, it is confirmed that this video, shared on social media as footage of the Myanmar earthquake, is not authentic and was generated using AI technology.
