I.C.I.J
During our inspection, we discovered that the I.C.I.J organization has published data on countries individually on their official website in relation to previous exploratory revelations. It includes the names of 93 Sri Lankans, 22 names revealed by Panama Papers, 43 names revealed by Offshore Leaks, 18 names revealed by Paradise Papers – Appleby, and 10 names revealed by Paradise Papers – Malta Corporate registry.
Pandora Papers
The only Sri Lankans revealed so far in the recent Pandora Papers are Nirupama Rajapaksa, a former deputy minister in Sri Lanka, and her husband, Thirukumar Nadesan who is a businessman.
Note of Bimal Rathnayake
The name of the JVP member Bimal Ratnayake was also mentioned in the post circulating on social media and he had stated on his official Facebook account that the news was untrue.
Conclusion
Therefore, the news stating that 93 Sri Lankans have been revealed with the list of names as was in the recent Pandora Papers is misleading.
