A Google reverse image search revealed that the image had been edited and presented misleadingly.

The original image was published on Premadasa’s official Facebook page, and was carried out by several mainstream media publications.

The authentic image was captured on August 29 at the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) in Kandy holding his own manifesto before meeting with the Mahanayakes.

Accordingly, FactSeeker confirms that the photograph of Sajith Premadasa holding Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s election manifesto is altered and misleading.
