Multiple interactions with posts circulating on social media claiming to provide free coupons in celebration of KFC's 73rd anniversary caught the attention of FactSeeker.

The posts read “To celebrate KFC’s 73rd anniversary, we’re sending vouchers to those who text ‘Happy Birthday’ until August 13. Use each coupon at any KFC restaurant to get three free buckets of chicken!”
When inquired, the company said that they did not offer any such offers and only the offers posted on KFC official social media pages were genuine.
Accordingly, FactSeeker confirms that posts claiming KFC restaurants in Sri Lanka are offering free chicken buckets to customers on the occasion of KFC’s 73rd anniversary are fake.
