A video circulating on the internet showed a youth who posed a question in Tamil at the meeting organised by Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

FactSeeker observed the tweets and videos on X questioning whether the youth was sent off the stage.

When FactSeeker intervened to verify the incident, it was revealed that the individual was not removed from the stage, and the Minister had in fact answered the youth’s question.

Accordingly, it was disclosed to FactSeeker that another individual who took part in the event interrupted it by continuously expressing his views and interrupting the discussion. This individual was then removed from the premises by security officers.

The full video of the question asked by the youth and the response of the Minister is linked below.

Accordingly, FactSeeker debunks the claim that the youth who proposed a question to Minister Anura Kumara Dissanayake was kicked off the stage.
