Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake expressed his willingness to participate in this debate in a letter signed by Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, the National Executive Member of the National People’s Party, to the General Secretary of Samagi Janabala Wega, Ranjith Madduma Bandara.

Meanwhile, a letter sent to Anura Kumara Dissanayake with the signature of opposition leader Sajith Premadasa stating that he can participate in the relevant debate on June 31 is being shared on social media.

June has 30 days and June 31st is not in the calendar, so Fact Seeker took steps to find out about this.

Accordingly, in an inquiry from the media unit of the opposition leader’s office, they stated that Sajith Premadasa did not send such a letter and that this letter being exchanged is a fake letter.

Further, the media section further stated that the Samagi Jana Balawega party has not given a date for the debate so far.

Accordingly, Fact Seeker confirms that this article shared through social media is a fake article.
