Recently, a video circulating on social media claimed to show a 23-year-old marine trainer named Jessica Radcliffe being killed by an Orca whale during a water sports show. The video, which quickly went viral, appeared to capture the whale swallowing the trainer in front of a live audience, prompting widespread expressions of grief online.

However, an investigation by FactSeeker revealed that the video was entirely fabricated using AI technology. Analysis with Gork AI confirmed that the scenes of the alleged attack were not real, and further examination showed that the video combined footage from previous real-life incidents to make the clip appear authentic.

Among the footage used were clips from a 2010 incident in Florida, where trainer Dawn Brancheau tragically died, and a 2009 event in Tenerife involving an Orca whale named Keto attacking trainer Alexis Martinez during a training session.

Despite the convincing presentation, there is no record of a marine trainer named Jessica Radcliffe, nor have any official sources, including marine parks, aquariums, or reputable media outlets, reported such an incident. The video was thus confirmed to be a deliberate AI-generated hoax designed to mislead viewers by blending real historical footage with fabricated content.

FactSeeker warns the public to exercise caution when encountering shocking videos on social media and emphasizes the importance of verifying information through credible sources before sharing. This case highlights the growing challenge posed by AI-generated misinformation and the need for vigilance in the digital age.
