A part of a forged newspaper report is circulating on social media with a statement of former JVP MP Sunil Handunneththi reading ‘No one has the right to say that Buddhism is superior to Islam.’ Our technical tests revealed that this photo of the newspaper report was manipulated.
When inquired about this the JVP Media Correspondent Upul Ranjan said that Sunil Handunnetti had never made such a statement and this was completely false.
